We turned geography anxiety
into a map worth exploring.

Terra Prep exists because someone, somewhere, once confused the Tropic of Cancer with a medical diagnosis. We took that pain and built a whole company around it. You're welcome.

The Origin Story (Mostly True)

Picture it: a mock test, a question about the Strait of Malacca, and an answer so confidently incorrect it briefly became a group chat legend. That's the whole origin story. No garage, no eureka shower moment โ€” just one very tired aspirant realizing that memorizing a world map from a textbook is like learning to swim from a pamphlet.

So we built the thing we wished existed: a map you can actually click on, quizzes that don't feel like a punishment, and just enough XP and confetti to trick your brain into thinking revision is a game. It worked. Mostly on us first. Then, thankfully, on everyone else too.

Honest Confessions

No corporate mission statement here. Just the truth, lightly seasoned with self-awareness.

We built this at 2 AM
Most of our "aha" ideas happened suspiciously close to midnight, fuelled by chai and the specific despair of forgetting where the Tropic of Capricorn goes. Again.
XP points mean nothing
They cannot be redeemed for cash, snacks, or extra exam time. And yet, somehow, watching that little pill tick up feels genuinely wonderful.
We fact-check obsessively
Every river, strait, and mountain range has been triple-checked by someone who has argued about the exact length of the Nile at a family dinner.
The mock tests are strict
90 seconds a question. We know. Somewhere out there, a very calm aspirant is typing a perfectly structured answer while the rest of us panic-type "basically" four times.
We've never seen most of these places
The Karakoram Range looks stunning on our map. Has anyone on the team actually been there? No. Are we still emotionally invested? Deeply.
We love a good compass animation
Is the spinning compass on the map strictly necessary? No. Does it make us disproportionately happy? Also no comment, your honor.

Still deciding if the Strait of Hormuz is a river. It is not. We'll get there together.

Enough about us. Go get lost on the map.

In the good way. The way where you come back knowing exactly where the Bosporus is.
